Zakopane, I’m happy to be here.

Day by day it’s getting harder for me to write about my experience in Zakopane and the Polish Tatars mountains. But at this moment 13-6-2016 11:28 Am,  I’m sitting at nice Cafe, at the third floor enjoying each moment of the view of the mountains, well some i can’t  see…it’s a foggy day.

Almost one month I’m away from home, Haifa, Israel. A quick brief what i had done so far and then in other posts will write more details about it.
15-5-2016 quick and short trip Slovakia focusing at the Slovak Tatras mountains.
18-5-2016 i head off to Zakopane in south Poland to volunteer at a hostel.
3-6-2016 until 7-6-2016 quick trip to Berlin from Zakopane visiting friends.

23-6-2016 i will pick up a group from back home to guide them in Slovakia (off-road) with travel agency Jeep and Travel.

some pics….
OK now lets back to talk a bit about this lovely village. Zakopane, in south Poland have a unique mixture that i was looking for, Nightlife and Nature. Quite often when i travel i like to find spot and to have these 2 things Nightlife and Nature.
Nightlife here very mixed and interesting, many places to hangout to grab a beer and to dance, all week! Many different styles, hard to pick the most one i liked, but i will go to say “Europejska”. Keep calm and wait to my post later about nightlife in Zakopane.

Nature, I’m not used to that much to surrounded by mountains, green and high trees. Just 2 minutes walk from the hostel i volunteer i can start a nice hike in the polish Tatras mountains, so far i reached 4 peaks and I’m looking forward to more, i want to reach the highest one but doesn’t look i could do it now! I’m kind started to know what i want, to be in the nature, to hike and to reach mountain peaks in the world, I’m happy that I’m here because for beginner its perfect and good start. Again, keep calm and wait to other post in the future about the Hiking in the polish Tatras mountains.

img_20160523_102453.jpgI end up to be in Zakopane, because after the first group i had until i will have the second group to guide in Slovakia, plenty of free time, a bit more than one month, i made some search how to spend my time until i found volunteering at a hostel in Zakopane, and I’m happy to end up in Zakopane, i could say i feel home.

My local experience is great here, one of my things i like, its to watch people while I’m at a bar, at cafe or also while walking, i got to know how they dance, how they hangout, what they like to eat and so on, and it’s because most of the tourist here are local tourists from the Poland, so in that way you will you will
feel the local vibe to experience it.

to be traveler, travel blogger and travel guide looks it’s not easy, but i will try my best to share with you my experience in writing. Oh also forgot to tell you, to add what i mention i also write handwriting diary, and i like to travel and live the moment without writing or taking pics.

More details and information will come later in different posts here in my blog, anyway i would like to follow me on Facebook where I’m more active, also you can find me on instagram and twitter.
My hashtag for this journey #ExperienceZakopane #ExperienceTatra

A bit more than one week leaving but i will be back for sure 🙂

Cheers from STRH cafe

What does it mean Folan experience?

Folan it’s not my family name. Many of my friends, followers and people might think Folan is my family name, I hope it was so, because of the meaning of this word that I personally like. But it’s not!
Where are you from? What’s your religion? What’s your family name?
On the one hand I don’t like this kind of questions, to introduce the identity that person holds. On the other hand I do use it. There is always the conflict between these two things. Some use it to judge you and to blame you on something, other might like to share and have nice experience and to find something in common or to learn about what the place and traditions that characterize you. Finally, there are actually people who don’t care. I see myself as a mix of all these three, and that what means the word Folan.

Folan, it’s an Arabic word, sometimes sounds a bit different in the huge world of dialects and also written different, Folan means; someone, somebody and it could be anonymous. Depends how you use the word. So how it’s connected to all the mentioned above? It helps me to be more close just a human without all the extras, and helps to deal with others in the same way. I hope you got it and understand my point of view. To make it more clear, I chose this way not because of shame, nothing to feel shame about, rather it is just my way, I don’t know, I feel better like that, getting close just to be human. I TRY MY BE BEST TO BE LIKE THAT.

later on, when I started a travel blog, I realized that it could fit also and be part of a name to my travel blog, due to my tendency to write and share my experience with others and also to hear their, the local living lifestyle in any spot, as a basic principle and value of the travel blog “Folan Experience“.

If you still confused and still curious about it, comment below a question, or any comment you would like to share.

a bit about me!

enjoying living the life, there were some periods of my life that shaped who i am now.
finished tour managers course, then i started studying history at Haifa university, I’m about to stop now, I’m just looking for knowledge, don’t want to waste any more time on university, prefer to travel because for me that is the best university of life: to travel and to learn while exploring this world full of cultures and to see, know, learn and understand from the other that not me. i learn from the people and shape my knowledge more and more… in my opinion that is the best way to the enlightenment.

i just opened the gate to travel and write (travel blogger), mainly when i have money, so i do short travels.more about me will follow, in every moment of your life it’s possible to change, many directions, the adventure keeps going on.
At the 11\11\2015 it will be one year for my personal blog, until now it was short travel but maybe the big announcement about traveling with non stop will comes soon.
how i will do it? im thinking about to from the balkans with work away thing did u heard about that organzation share ur opinon.

two nights in Zell am See

We started driving to austria after we arrived ljubljana the capital of slovenia of to the village Zell am see in auatria.
Via cool panoramic roads and small villages, and not on the highway because it’s boring.
Like to find a lake and no need to what’s the name of it!

We arrived the hotel after non to stay there 2 nights. During our staying was a cheese festival so we had off to a amazing folklore evening on the villge next called kaprun. drinks, dance & cheese and nothing else need more to spend the first night with locals.

Zell am see summer card. That thing save for us a lot of money, one of the reasons why I booked hotel, was great deal for me and also the summer card was included 😉 so that card gives in places it’s free, in others will get discounts.

So at the first day we went to the peak of “kitzsteinhorn ” close to kaprun was free for us to took the all 3 cable cars to get to 3029 m high, because we had the card.

A bit of snow at the peak !

after that we drove to famous panoramic road “Grossglockner ” its cost 31 euro for car with the card.

after all back to last night im zell am see, went out to look at what this village can offer at night. Have to say not much, it’s not a young city, local bars – dance bar are just 2 “K1” & “Insider”.
You will find lots of Arab signs and Arabic restaurants its a result of all the tourists from the Gulf countries. They love this place, you will see also lot of places that they own like restaurants & supermarket.

The last day wasn’t sure what to do & just plan it during driving, we end up at the early morning for a short cool hike at “Taxenbach gorge”

it’s also free because the card. After the hike off to Hallstadt it’s a small romantic one by the lake, recommended for couples, there you can visit the oldest salt mine in the world.

The magic card!

Around the after noon we off to slovenia to the first night at Kranjska gora very popular during the ski season.

Like my FB page for live updates 😉
Folan experience also you can find me in Instagram .

Keep calm & wait to next post about slovenia 😉
